After several years without a state competition, more than 125 high school students took over portions of the UAA Campus in March!
Event Highlights: A visit from Representative Peltola during the award ceremony, awarding $49,000 in scholarships between the Decathlon ($37,000) and Pentathlon ($12,000), an opening ceremony that included representatives from several Alaskan colleges, a highly attended Super Quiz event in the UAA Fine Arts Theatre and a dance!
2023 State Champions: Lathrop High School
While Lathrop went home with the largest trophy, THREE Alaskan teams represented Alaska at the USAD National Competition: Lathrop, IDEA (Division I Winners) and Bering Strait School District.
