2021 Competition
The 2021 Alaska Academic Decathlon State Competition will be a virtual event comprised of teams from across the state. Open to every high school in the state, this is a great year to start a team and compete in the state competition (no travel costs!).
New teams are invited to participate at the State Competition without paying the first-year registration fee. Find out more, email or call today!

Important 2021 GPA Information:
The United States Academic Decathlon has updated the GPA requirements as follows:
Honor: 3.80 – 4.00 GPA
Scholastic: 3.20 – 3.799 GPA
Varsity: 0.00 – 3.199 GPA

2021 Curricular Theme: The Cold War
Students will study the economics, math, science, literature, art, music and social science of The Cold War, along with creating essays and speeches on the subject and participating in the Super Quiz - an all-team event on all of the above.

Scholarships
Each year, the Alaska Academic Decathlon program awards $24,000 in scholarship to the highest scoring students in each category (Honors, Scholastic and Varsity).
